This workshop, led by Dr. Susan Brown and Mrs. Jennifer Marvin (University of Guelph) with guest lecturer Dr. Diana Duarte Salinas, introduced methods of transforming literary data into meaningful visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Gephi, and Voyant. I used Voyant to visualize my artistic statement in a Digital Humanities project and explored how Tableau and Gephi could inspire future literary work, including children’s fairy tales and other narrative texts. We also examined projects on Pudding.cool and Dear Data, drawing inspiration from their creative and visually compelling approaches to data representation.
